The Client

Marlene founded MARLENE DESIGN + CO. in 2017 with the goal of bringing her “textured, tailored, timeless” designs to clients seeking simplicity and elegance in detail. The competitive Bay Area interior design market makes it essential to have a visually stunning website that represents her specific style.

The Challenge

Being a new business, Marlene needed a website that would make a statement in the design world. Creating an interior design website in this competitive market means creatign a “timeless” website that can evolve but remain current. Each element needed to be custom and specific to the company’s style.

Our Solution

A website built on a user-friendly platform with a lot of whitespace to create an elegant design. Custom fonts were integrated and fine lines were applied to play off of Marlene’s style and logo. A stunning portfolio layout was a must as interior design websites need to emphasize visual aspects.

The Homepage

A main header image focuses on one aspect of a custom couch, pushing the concept that it’s all in the details. Clean lines emphasize the company’s style and design focus.

Inner Pages

A “projects” page consists of a mosaic gallery displaying examples of the company’s work. This is an integral feature for interior design websites as users expect a beautiful and easy visual experience.

Other inner pages include a services page and about page. Both are designed simple and clean with plenty of white space to represent the company’s sense of style and vision.
