The Client

The American Canyon Parks Foundation (AC Parks) is a community-focused non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational, educational, and environmental programs and services. They operate with the goal of enhancing community engagement and promoting sustainable practices through various parks and facilities, including the development of a new Ecology Center.

The Challenge

The previous site, built on Weebly, featured an outdated design and a complex sitemap that made navigation difficult and did not effectively communicate the full range of services offered by AC Parks. Additionally, the site needed to include dedicated space for the new Ecology Center, which is currently under development.

Our Solution

A new website was built on WordPress and features a new, intuitive sitemap and easier navigation. We introduced an events calendar to keep the community informed about upcoming events and activities. A dual-tab feature was integrated into the secondary menu, enabling users to access Ecology Center pages without leaving the main site, yet designed to give the feeling of entering a distinct new website. We also implemented interactive ‘before and after’ features to visually showcase the impact of AC Parks’ projects and improvements. The redesign has successfully positioned AC Parks as a leader in community and environmental development and has increased brand awareness and funding opportunities for the new Ecology Center.
